What is a Hot Home?
A Hot Home is a home that we think will sell within the first two weeks of being listed on the market.
How does a home become a Hot Home?
This feature is generated by a proprietary algorithm that looks at user activity such as tours scheduled, favorites for an individual home, and nearby market activity as well as the features of the home that are similar to other properties in high demand.
Why should I care if a home is a Hot Home?
We don’t want you to miss out on your dream home because of a hot market. Hot Home banners are there to help encourage you, the potential buyer, to schedule tours and submit offers before the home is gone.
How can I tell if a home is a Hot Home?
You’ll know which properties are considered Hot Homes by the orange banner shown on the map page.
A Hot Home is also visible within the listings table and the viewfinder window shown above the listings table.
You will also see the Hot Home banner on the listings details page for a particular home within the header.
Once my home becomes a Hot Home, will it stay that way?
Not necessarily. The Hot Home feature is determined by an algorithm that has the opportunity to adjust itself daily. This means that the Hot Home banner can be added or removed depending on the home activity.
Can I request my home to be a Hot Home?
No, this feature cannot be manually added to the site for an individual listing.
I don’t want my home to be a Hot Home; how do I remove it?
Submit a request, and we’ll be happy to remove the feature from your listing.
