Selling by owner and wanting to show your listing on Redfin? Redfin does shows for sale by owner or FSBO listings!
How do I get my FSBO listing on Redfin?
Redfin does not allow a way to directly upload a FSBO listing, however, if your home is posted on Fizber.com or FSBO.com, we'll be able to show the active listing. *It will take 48 hours for your listing to show on Redfin. If you’ve posted a listing on one of these two sites and don’t see your listing on Redfin, please contact the customer service team for the site you posted on to make sure everything is working correctly.
How can someone search my FSBO on Redfin?
To find FSBO listings, potential buyers can search for them by using the ‘For Sale by Owner’ filter on the map page. When searching for a home, click ‘More Filters’ to the right of the map page and look for the ‘Listing Status’ section, then click ‘Show More.’
Then check the option ‘For Sale By Owner’ and the ‘Apply Filters’ button to see FSBO homes on the map page.
*For the Redfin mobile app, FSBOs will show up in your search results as a default.
How will my FSBO listing look?
You may notice that FSBO listings look different than MLS-listed homes, which are represented by an agent. Please note that Redfin’s website will not show the following information for FSBO homes due to the data given to us by the FSBO sites we pull from:
- Unit numbers
- Open House days and times
- Property Status Changes
- Homeowner’s phone numbers (unless advertised in the properties description)
- *Any homes that have been previously listed in the last 30 days on the MLS or are currently listed on the MLS will NOT show as active on Redfin as per MLS regulations.
Can I list my home on the MLS and as an FSBO?
The simple answer is no. Redfin’s primary data source the Multiple Listing Service (the MLS). While Redfin show FSBOS, our primary data feed from the MLS will override any FSBO listings displaying only the MLS listing.
How to contract an Owner for a For sale by owner?
For Redfin customers, Redfin provides a possible buyer’s agent to represent you to the right of the listing. You can schedule a tour and our Redfin Agents or a Redfin Partner Agent can contact the owner and help you go see the home.
If you are an agent or a buyer looking to contact the homeowner selling the FSBO directly, you will need to go to the original source site for their contact information. The source site is where Redfin received the FSBO listing from and this information can be found on the listing below the Google Map.
How can I remove an out of date FSBO listing on Redfin?
Just fill out our request form and let us know why the FSBO listing should be removed. We will remove the FSBO listing and let you know where it is coming from so that you can have it removed from the origin website as well.
