Where do I find my documents when buying or selling a home?
If you are a buyer, go to the Deal Room section of your account, and if you are a seller, go to the My homes section of your account. If you need a hand finding these sections, please follow the steps outlined here
Once you're in the right place, scroll down until you see the documents widget.
This widget will display documents uploaded by your Agent, Transaction Coordinator, and Title Forward (if you use their services). To download any of these documents, simply click any document to view it and click the download button (down-facing arrow) in the top right corner.
How do I upload documents to this feature?
To upload a document, click the “Add Document” button at the bottom of the “Your Documents” section. It will bring up a file picker that will let you browse your file system to find the document you want to upload. You'll know the document was uploaded successfully when you see a pop-up that will allow you to share your document with your Redfin Agent or Title Forward Agent (if you are working with them). If you do not want to share the document, simply close the pop-up that appears.
How do I share my documents with Title Forward or my Redfin Agent?
If you are working with Title Forward, you will see this version of the "Share" pop-up after the document has been uploaded, where you can label your upload with a "Document Type." If it is a document Title Forward asked you to upload, there should be a specific type for it in the drop-down.
Choosing the correct type will ensure the correct department sees it first. Find the right option for your document and click "Share" to send your document to Title Forward securely.
If you don't know which option to use, simply label the document "Other." Labeling the document "Other" will expand the pop-up to display two toggles.
Adjust the toggles to choose who to send this document to, and then click "Share" to send your document to your Agent and/or Title Forward securely.
Simply click the red "Share" button to share your document with your Redfin team.
How do I change my uploaded documents, and who can view them?
Take a look just under the "Your Documents" Header, you will see two tabs: "Filed by Your Agent" and "Your Uploads." Click "Your Uploads" to view any documents you have already uploaded.
Underneath each document thumbnail in the "Your Uploads" tab, there is a small "Settings" link. Clicking this link will bring up a pop-up showing who can currently see the document.
If you forgot to share your document with someone, you can also use this popup to share your document with them by adjusting the toggles and clicking "Save."
