Redfin is a full-service brokerage, which means we would be happy to help you buy or sell a home but we do not assist with rentals, or property management services. If you’re interested in renting, here is a simple FAQ to get you to where you need to go!
Does Redfin host Rent to Own listings:
Redfin does not display ‘Rent to Own’ listings on our website, only residential homes for sale and off-market properties for comparable purposes.
Where can I find rentals?
If you are interested in finding rentals, we recommend checking out these great websites:
Can I post a rental listing on Redfin?
Sadly, no, we are not able to host any rental listings on Redfin.
Why when I Google an address of a potential rental, why do I see the address on Redfin’s website?
Redfin show’s sale records from the county assessor and local real estate database (MLS) for many addresses across the country. Sold homes displayed on Redfin are not necessarily for rent and there is no way for us to know if they are occupied or not.
Can I contact the owner through Redfin?
Redfin does not have owner information on our website. We would recommend searching by the address on the county assessor's website to find the name of the owner, though they may not have contact information available. Additionally, we do not have access to property management information.
I found a rental scam, what do I do?
If you believe a rental ad to be a scam, it's always good to report it to the site where you viewed the original rental listing so that the site can remove the listing.
How can I avoid rental fraud?
Here are some basic red flags that we see a lot that may indicate a rental scam:
- The "owner" is out of town/country and requires you to send s deposit or information before providing a key to the home.
- The "owner" tells you to go drive by the home but can't let you into the home.
- The owner's name does not match the one on Public Records.
