Redfin has real-time information on sold homes in your area to help you see what has sold in an area. We draw the information from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). When we don’t have information on the home from the MLS, we get the data from public records.
To search for sold homes:
- Start by inputting the area or market you’re looking to research sold data in
- You will be then routed to the map page, from here, hit the ‘More Filters’ button.
- Apply filters that meet the criteria of your search, and click on ‘Sold’, you will notice a dropdown box appears, select how far back in time you’d like to view sold records for
4. Click ‘Apply Filters’ towards the bottom of the table to save your paramters
From here, you’ll be prompted back to the map, where you can view all sold details in that area that meet that time frame:
How to Distinguish Between For-Sale and Sold Homes?
Sold homes are indicated with a blue icon on the map and blue shading on the home details page. For-Sale listings are under contract listings that are indicated with Green icons. Here is a link to more information on what the other icons mean.
How Much Sold Information is Available?
We display all public MLS data (if allowed, you can learn more about MLS rules here). Most MLS's require site users to register and have a verified email address before you're able to review in depth MLS data. Registration on Redfin is free and we'll never sell your information to a 3rd party. When we don't have sold information from the MLS, we'll show you sold information from public records.
