Edit Your Home Facts

It’s here! Now you can update your home's facts on Redfin. Redfin wants to make sure that we have the most accurate and up to date information on homes. If you notice that your home's details are not showing correctly, Redfin offers an edit option that will allow the homeowner to make direct changes.

If you have monthly home reports set up on your account, you can also access your home's details through these emails.

Then type in your address in the search box under ‘Find a Home.’

Keep in mind that editing home facts can only be done on non-active, or sold homes. If your home is currently for sale, pending, or contingent and you notice information is not showing correctly, please double check with your listing agent to make sure the MLS listing information is input correctly into the local real estate database.

After you find your home, go the top right corner and click the “Edit Facts’ button located right next to the ‘Favorite’ and ‘X-Out’ buttons.

In order to edit your home’s data, a homeowner verification box will appear where you can select your name. As the owner of the home, you are now granted permission to make changes!

If the option to select your name doesn't appear- check your email for a verification from Redfin to update your home.

Once you are the confirmed home owner, time to edit!  You can edit key facts including: property type, beds, baths, sq. ft, lot size, & year built.  For Security purposes, you'll just need to confirm that you're not a robot first, and click ‘Save Updates’ to complete the process!  Once saved, your updates will appear on both the website and the mobile apps.

If you’re following your home’s estimate, within a week the estimate will update based on the new information. Stay tuned!

I like what you said except there is no greenhouse and the sewer was connected June 2014, which included new pipes under the house. Also the driveway had a new topcoat put on at that time.

You didn't have the facts right on our house. It is not an REO. It is a rehabbed and remodeled home, which is rented. The house next door sold for more than $115,000. Your info is not accurate at all. And there is no place where I can edit to make the info correct. Very misleading

How do I edit the description and photos? The pictures and listing description are from 2009 when I purchased the home, and do not reflect any remodeling or upgrades I have made to the home, thus my estimate is way off; $50k less than other sites, which actually reflect current sales in my neighborhood.

What's the point of being able to "EDIT" if you can't take the photos down because you don't want the world at large able to see what is in your home!!!  This needs to be done ASAP--both Zillow and Trulia are sensitive to this and make it easy to do.  This is no way to run a real estate site, and I plan to pass the word along and post on social media if this isn't fixed ASAP.

    Hi Buck,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know! Unfortunately, we do not have a way to update or add more photos. If your place your home the market and the MLS you would be able to add more photos. Sorry for the inconvenience that caused you.

I will make sure to route your feedback to our developers about this.

    Have a great day!

We have listed our house with Redfin and have a serious handicap on our listing caused by Redfin. Our house's "days in market" includes two months of time that we had taken it off market to let a lease run out. However, Redfin shows the days on market from the original date of the initial listing. Our agent has tried to plead with your developers to fix this to no avail. This technical glitch is putting us at a serious disadvantage selling our house, and we are furious. Especially since Redfin's whole business model focuses on the online presence, this is really egregious, and are concerned that the damage is done to our sale. Redfin needs to correct this error immediately and take responsibility for the damage done to our ability to attract buyers.

I came here to see how to edit the field for "Year Renovated" as the home had a gut rehab and 2000+ sqft added.  But there is nothing here telling me how to get to additional fields other than the ones provided in basic form--or how to submit additional info to you guys.

The Edit Facts section just allows you to updated the basic info like sqft/#bedrooms/#bathroom/year/lot size.

This does not change generally but what changes is the remodeling, improvements. And there is no way to get that updated. I have put over 100k on the house remodeling but there is no way to update that.

    Hi,
    (1) Our house was remodeled in 2015 but it doesn't show up here. (2) Also the pictures on the website are from the 1970s. Can you remove this and add more current street pictures? Will this be updated soon? And (3) can we provide pictures too? (4) Our house has been remodeled with a porch since. Finally, (5) I don't see how to edit the basement space which is 936 sq ft. Thank you.

Our house presently is a total of 936 ft upstairs with 3 bedrooms 1 ba, and an unfinished bsmt of 936 feet. Total floors, two. Total sq feet, 1872! None of this is reflected in the public record or house facts.
