Get Instant or Daily Email Updates for New & Changed Listings

With Redfin Instant Updates you’ll never miss new or changed homes for sale. In competitive markets, Instant Updates can give you the advantage to get your offer in first because you’ll hear about price changes and new listings within minutes of when they happen.

Get Instant Updates by Email 

You can receive updates instantly on your favorite Redfin searches by email. 

1. From the website, enter your target neighborhood, city, school, or zip code in the search box. To narrow down your search, click More Options.

2. Click the on/off toggle button next to “Instant Updates” on the map.

You will now receive an email immediately whenever a listing that matches your search comes on the market or is updated.  


Push Notifications to Your Mobile & Change Frequency of Updates

To change the settings for how often you receive updates, including pushing notifications to your mobile device, go to Alerts & Emails in My Redfin. If you are not signed into your Redfin account, you will be prompted to sign in.

You can now select how often you'll receive updates about your favorite homes and saved searches.

  • Select the Push checkbox to be alerted instantly on your mobile device. You'll need to download our top-rated mobile app for iPhone and Android. 

  • To disable email and mobile alerts, select Off, and make sure the Push checkbox is not selected.

  • To edit which notifications you receive, click Edit.

Save changes when you're finished. You can also make adjustments on-the-go using our mobile app — just open the app, and click Alerts and Emails. 

 

See Listing Updates in an RSS Reader

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, provides another easy way to subscribe to new and updated listings that match your search criteria. You can subscribe to new listings on Redfin with your My Yahoo or Netvibes page. Alternatively, you can see these new listings as a subscription in your favorite feed reader, such as Feedly.

If you want to view an RSS feed with search results, run your desired search and click Save in the bottom left corner of the map page. Once you've named your search, you can add the feed to your favorite feed reader from your Saved Searches page under My Redfin.

New and updated listings will be added to your RSS feed as soon as we receive them.

starting on the third page after opening the initial e-mail the site becomes as complicated as any I have ever seen, I think it is a propaganda ploy to keep a person on their web site  and navigating as long as possible,  the more time a person speends on this site the less time will be spent on a easier to navigate site..

Regarding favorited homes. Does redfin send a notification once the price has changed? Also favorited homes that are "Pending" once that status changes to sold or back on the market, are we notified?

Hello Teri,

Thanks for using Redfin! Yes, you can receive notifications on your Favorited homes. Just make sure that you setup that information in your account to receive emails for those updates. 

You would do that under the 'Alerts and Emails' section on your Redfin account.

The "Push" checkbox to be alerted instantly on your mobile device, cannot be selected. The checkbox is disabled so I cannot selected. Is this feature broken?

Hello Lia,

Thanks for letting us know that you are having trouble with the website. Can you please email us at techsupport@redfin.com with some more detailed information?

We would need to get the information about your internet browser, the type of phone you are using (Android or iPhone), and if you have the app downloaded on your phone and if you are signed into your Redfin account on the app.

Once we get that email from you, we should be able to figure it out!
